SAYoF Positions Youth Leaders as engineers of Change at Africa Mindset Reset Forum in Kigali

Southern Africa Youth Forum (SAYoF) is playing a leading role at the inaugural Africa Mindset Reset Forum, taking place in Kigali, Rwanda from 25–26 August 2026. Held under the theme “From Pan-Africanism to Meta-Africanism,” the Forum is convening leaders, policymakers, and young people to shift from dialogue to action. The goal is clear: to build a new African narrative where young people are engineers of mindset reset, driving policy, innovation, and unity across the continent.

The delegation led by Ms Diana Chando, The Governance, Peace and Security Cluster Head include the CEO Mr Gondo, Hon Ian Vambe, Head of Media, Advocacy and Communications, Ms Efrata Mathewos, SAYoF Ambassador to the African Union and Ethiopia, Elvira Dias and Shakespeare Shumba.

Ms. Chando will join continental leaders on a panel discussion to address the urgent question: “Who really owns Africa’s resources and its people?”. The panel will examine governance, economic justice, resource sovereignty, and the role of young people in securing Africa’s future through accountability, ownership, and Pan-African solidarity.

SAYoF CEO, Mr. Gondo, is part of the inaugural Advisory Panel of the Africa Mindset Reset Forum. In this capacity, Mr. Gondo will helped shape the Forum’s strategic direction and ensure that youth priorities from the SADC region are embedded in the movement toward Meta-Africanism.
